The Summer Game Fest Has Arrived: Here's What's Happened, and What to Expect.

The event started with a +4-hour stream event. Many announcements were made, but we're still far from over. Expect big names to join in the following days.

Notable announcements from June 8th's stream:

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is expected to be released in early 2024.

Although no specific date was mentioned, the time window for its release is early 2024. Square Enix showed us a trailer with the continuation of the story from the 2020 game.

Spider-Man 2 comes out on October 20, 2023; exclusively on PS5.

The much-awaited sequel comes out later during the year, exclusively on the PS5, although do not rule out a PC port further down the road.

Transformers are coming to Fortnite!

Fortnite Chapter 4 features Transformers as their selling point for their third Season. The game keeps growing and surprising everyone. They also introduced a hefty tool for developers so they can create content for the game.

Alan Wake 2 comes out on October 17, 2023.

The game will feature two characters this time. Alan Wake on one hand is trapped in nightmare world, while Saga Anderson, the FBI Agent you see on the gameplay footage, will try to uncover the mystery behind it all. Looks like the story will be equally split between both.
